Duble Sidekick rollin in the dough, don't care

Article: [Duble Sidekick Interview] "Royalties? We try not to look at our bank account"

Source:
Ilgan Sports via Naver

1. [+1,683, -33] It's true that you get less tired of their songs compared to Shinsadong Tiger's

2. [+1,244, -22] I feel like they're super rich now ㅋㅋ

3. [+1,219, -15] Janggeun... He was only known as MC Mong's friend but now I bet he's richer than MC Mong ㅋ

4. [+665, -11] I had no idea they wrote so many songs ㅋㅋ

5. [+160, -3] They're doing fine now but I'm afraid they're going to end up like Brave Brothers. They seem to have a broader genre range than Brave Brothers so I'm not worried but the more they mass produce songs like this, the easier they're going to turn into a copy factory like Brave Brothers. I think they should cut down on the songs they produce...

6. [+121, -3] Noticed that the new songs lately are all by them, amazing;;

7. [+119, -15] It's not easy making songs, they're practically geniuses

8. [+119, -20] This is why the future of Korea's pop music is hopeless. One person is producing 200 songs, what are they a music factory? Yeah, I'm sure you're proud of your bank accounts.

9. [+86, -0] Singers don't have an identity anymore. They all use the same composers and sell their names for their image...

10. [+79, -8] Not feeling their 'Pretty Underwear' song, the lyrics are really bad and the song overall seems under their level.

  1. I feel like they have an advantage since they're two people. I'm no expert, but just maybe more creativeness? Brave Brothers and Shinsadong Tiger do most stuff on their own, if I'm not mistaken. Obviously some songs will be similar to others.

    ReplyDelete
  2. imo shinsadong songs are always good tbh i still jam to dalshabet's bbb.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Ah, yes. Duble Sidekick. The men that gave us MBLAQ's big hit—which J.Tune then screwed up by killing the momentum.

    ReplyDelete
  4. their songs are just so.... average.... they have like 2 good songs

    ReplyDelete
  5. im more upset i havent gotten a oneway comeback in years :(
but i know the members producing gives them a lot more recognition and money than as a group so yh

    ReplyDelete
  6. is it bad that the first thing i thought is that it would be great to get a hold of their account numbers and slowly take money. they'd never notice cause they "try not to check."

    ReplyDelete
  7. right... i can probably count on 1 hand how many shinsadong songs i don't like

    ReplyDelete
  8. i used to follow chance on twitter when he was trying to make it with one way. crazy how far he's gone. duble sidekick is much better than brave brothers for sure, at least their songs don't sound the same. but ia it's too much if the pop market is gonna be saturated by their songs.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Actually most producers have teams, and they have producers working under them but the main producer takes all the credit for the song lol.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Too bad most of their recent songs suck. Quality>quantity. The g.o.d. Song is awful. So is g.nas song. Jungigos is ok. Jiyeons is good though it could've been much better. Hyosung definitely wins but it's not up to par with dd's previous stuff like loving u.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I probably do not like youMay 24, 2014 at 12:32 AM

    9. [+86, -0] Singers don't have an identity anymore. They all use the same composers and sell their names for their image...

eh. pretty much. since these are all business and images for most.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Yea he's da best! :D

    ReplyDelete
  13. of how many that you know?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Bald Mr.WorldwideMay 24, 2014 at 12:32 AM

I love BBB too. Most of the good songs produced by Shinsadong Tiger I love are those songs he produced for Cube artists.

    ReplyDelete
  15. 9. [+86, -0] Singers don't have an identity anymore. They all use the same composers and sell their names for their image...

This has basically happened since the beginning of pop music

    ReplyDelete
  16. Think Brave Brothers (Brave Sound) is more than one person now. AOA Miniskirt doesn't have that sound imo.

    ReplyDelete
  17. This is why the future of Korea's pop music is hopeless. One person is producing 200 songs

Singers don't have an identity anymore. They all use the same composers, 90% of idols use the same composer.
    .
    .. . . .

    ReplyDelete
  19. that's one of his worst songs imo :/

    ReplyDelete
  20. Thats why I prefer sweetune, they work with a few artists so the songs have a lesser chance of being subpar I think
Shinsadong Tiger is still good tho, as one of the comments below mentioned, BBB was hella good :o

    ReplyDelete
  21. i miss when 4minute used to work with him tho

    ReplyDelete
  22. 9. [+86, -0] Singers don't have an identity anymore. They all use the same composers and sell their names for their image...

This is why I don't like when producers mass-producing songs and worked with too many artists. They will lose their charm and ruin the groups they worked with when they all become generic. Identity is what makes me stay a fan of the group, if they lose it, then I'll move on. But ofc, some people always mistaken an identity with generic. >.>

    ReplyDelete
  23. 9. [+86, -0] Singers don't have an identity anymore. They all use the same composers and sell their names for their image...

This is what happens when singers/groups stick to the same tired concepts (sexy/cute for girl groups, pop infused with hip-hop/rock for male groups) and the same ~5 producers instead of thinking outside the box.

    ReplyDelete
  24. how badass would it be if companies started using unknown composers. there is so much undiscovered talent out there and everyone would benefit. the company gets a unique song and is the one credited to ~finding them~ first and the composer/producers get exposure. why do they need big names? i never pay attention to the composer before listening to a song

    ReplyDelete
  25. no wonder kpop music nowadays sounds the same

    ReplyDelete
  26. I either really like Duble Sidekick's music or I hate it. There is no in between.

    ReplyDelete
  27. can we revive etribe pls
they only released 3 songs last year

    ReplyDelete
  28. Bald Mr.WorldwideMay 24, 2014 at 12:38 AM

Yes I always like Duble Sidekick more than Brave Bros because they can produce various genre songs. I love It's war, Countryside life, Painkiller and Ghost of Wind.

    ReplyDelete
  29. To be honest, i like Shinsadong's songs more compare with double sidekick and brave brother. But, I agree that they are really geniuses! Its really hard you know to compose the songs and if company paid them higher, they need to make sure that songs can killed the chart!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I too try to not look at my bank account, but for a completely different reason.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Noob detected, oh wait...

    ReplyDelete
  32. oh yeah i prefer sweetune too! their songs are just my style~ but its only my personal opinion tho

    ReplyDelete
  33. It's War was the song. It was pretty popular but alas J.Tune killed the momentum

    ReplyDelete
  34. same but the only thing bad about sweetune is their songs all start to sound the same if they have too many projects at once

    ReplyDelete
  35. yeah they would be rolling on monry but its unnerving to think 1 person/producer/songwriter have 3 artists promoting at thesame time with their songs.. there was a moment eeeveryone sounded the same! I think it was with Brave Brothers' tracks and it wasnt funny! I prefer Lee min Soo allthe way... just with Sunny hill, he went from Irish influenced music to Spanish guitar jams flawlessly

    ReplyDelete
  36. your icon is giving me feels

    ReplyDelete
  37. My 1st thought was how u not gonna check ur account to make sure u have enough to buy a chrome hearts bracelet tho

    ReplyDelete
  38. Maybe that's why most k-pop songs sound the same now, they're made by the same producer, EUREKA!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Even though I am a 90s kid, i love Sweetune and their 80s sound. its sooo sleek with a shot of kpop feel to it.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Oh ok. Too bad... i love Y. What a classic.

    ReplyDelete
  41. shinsadong is half the reason why t-ara got so popular. bpbp, roly poly, lovey dovey…some of the best kpop jams everrrr <3

    ReplyDelete
  42. In my opinion Something (Girl's Day) was nothing special.
Nam Gisang produced TWINKLE TWINKLE, EXPECTATION, FEMALE PRESIDENT, DON'T FORGET ME and other hits, but his name isn't so popular.

So please, don't use everytime the same producer to mediaplay on his name because THERE'S SO MANY OTHERS with a great talent.
    Don't stuck the market.

    ReplyDelete
  43. As told by ginger was my shit back then omg. Now that I think about it... it had really grown up messages around it. (:

    ReplyDelete
  44. Tru that (but that happens to most composers at some point so yea)
I like them mostly because the songs they give to nine muses are seriously WOW

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yes! Lee min soo + kim eana the lyricist is an awesome combo. They do great things for ga-in and iu, etc

    ReplyDelete
  46. Its ok feel pain People who doesnt have even aacount :D

    ReplyDelete
  47. s. tiger is great. but he has plagarism issue. not just apink nonono but other song too..

there are groups that popular coz his song.. 4minute hot isssue, beast fiction, t-ara roly poly & apink nonono

    ReplyDelete
  48. kpop needs "new sounds"

    ReplyDelete
  49. I brought my younger sister to KMF early this month. Dal Shabet was there and sang 3songs and my sister said all of their songs are the pretty much the same.

    ReplyDelete
  50. It's not just kpop, a lot of western pop music songs sound the same to me too. Some of them are so formulaic, it's boring.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Bald Mr.WorldwideMay 24, 2014 at 12:57 AM

I like Sweetune's work for Infinite, kara and Nine Muse.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Even the images/concepts are more or less the same .Entertainment agencies really need to step up their game

    ReplyDelete
  53. sweetune >

    ReplyDelete
  54. It's true, Jpop songs don't seem to have that problem that we can notice.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Why is this so true?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Most producers have the group(s) which they write really good songs for like brave brothers-sistar and sweetune-infinite.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Whoever produced Nothing Lasts Forever has my admiration. Loved that song. I was super excited at that point for Girls Day's comebacks but they were killing me with Hug Me Once and Twinkle Twinkle. Just not my cup of tea.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Both Janggeun & Mikey is MC Mong 's friend and Lee Seung Gi's friend. They both said many times they want to work with MC Mong and even in this interview, Mikey also said the artist they want to work with again is Lee Seung Gi.
TTheir last songs for Lee Sun Hee and Lee Seung Gi are good too. As a '1 Night 2 Days' fan, hope they will work for both MC's Mong and Lee Seung Gi's new album.

    ReplyDelete
  59. It's true that there aren't many hit-makers, but if you are tired of seeing the same composers over and over again, try listening to idols' self-composed songs. The guys from B1A4, CN BLUE, FT ISLAND and many more can produce their own songs.

    ReplyDelete
  60. ZE:A - The Ghost of Wind is one of their master piece in term of music quality. I like the combination of classical music and modern sound. It's such an epic song.

    ReplyDelete
  61. What hole did primary fall in after that plagiarism tho. #longlivedublesidekick #byesweetune

    ReplyDelete
  62. i likes s.tiger work. volume up is great compared what.......??@ what...?

    ReplyDelete
  63. still my faves :D

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77qAgl1SCPk

    ReplyDelete
  64. I used to really love their compositions like Sistar's Loving U and DMTN's Safety Zone and ER. But lately, their songs sound less inspired. I hope they release better material soon.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I want Sweetune keep being mysterious and don't work with too many groups. It fun to try guessing their works. Sometimes when I heard a song and I think, I recognize this sound, and when I checked, yeah it's them (Stellar's Marionette for example haha)

They have their own unique sound and I love most of their works.
I love their works for Infinite, Nine Muses, Kara, Jin's Gone, Sunggyu's 60 Seconds, and some others.

    ReplyDelete
  66. this is like literally my jam omg

    ReplyDelete
  67. agree! That's exactly my reason why i listen to Kpop more.

IMO, Music nowadays are made for getting money.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Yea kpop should definitely NOT go down this route. If you think kpop sounds the same well then how about all those Latin songs that sound exactly the same.

    ReplyDelete
  69. IMO Expectation and Female President > Something

    ReplyDelete
  70. I like when groups produce their own music

    ReplyDelete
  71. out of sight out of mind they say xD

    ReplyDelete
  72. The song is still good though, and that's true all Latin songs talk about booties and shit like whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat

    ReplyDelete
  73. If you listen to some Exo songs on their album, they add C-pop to their music like Moonlight

    ReplyDelete
  74. Yonghwa is genius! Hope he also stary composing for other idols. I remember that TVXQ yunho once asked a song from him and got rejected ;p

    ReplyDelete
  75. Tbh I'm not much of a fan of their work. I only like its war and whatever they produced for dmtn. Even baps crash wasn't good enough for me to save into my ipod. Lol

    ReplyDelete
  76. I really enjoy most of their boy group songs, but for some reasons their songs for the girls always turn me off especially when there are all those falsettos going on >.>

    http://anandayuhee.wordpress.com/2013/02/07/industry-music-korea-kpop-hits-maker-%EC%9D%B4%EB%8B%A8%EC%98%86%EC%B0%A8%EA%B8%B0-duble-sidekick-double-sidekick/

    ReplyDelete
  78. welcome to pop culture

    ReplyDelete
  79. Bald Mr.WorldwideMay 24, 2014 at 1:17 AM

yes Expectation is so good! I think a lot of people love expectation more than something.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Female President is good but it totally copied Little Mix's Wings

    ReplyDelete
  81. Yup, this happens to SJ too.. Their title song is basically their identity (sj funky) but people said it's sorry sorry 2.0, 3.0, etc

    ReplyDelete
  82. CAN SOMEONE LIKE POST A LIST OF SOME OF THE RECENT POPULAR SONGS THEY WROTE? I'm actually really curious right now. I bet I'm addicted to a double sidekick song right now and I don't even know that they wrote it.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Oneway wrote a lot of songs but not title song.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Fallin' Moon CCLMay 24, 2014 at 1:20 AM

Sweetune is just my style <3 I love how they kept on giving song with that sexy retro feels to Nine Muses, their songs is my jam, Their songs with Infinite are probably awesome. Actually, I don't want them to be discovered by so many groups, I don't want they lose their sparks.

    ReplyDelete
  85. maybe you should try something like this...
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKYeODP-Sek

    ReplyDelete
  86. IDK maybe not YG...

    ReplyDelete
  87. I wonder what sort of music we'd get if idols [attempted to] produce their own songs.

    Lel

    ReplyDelete
  88. I swear I've heard this song somewhere else tbh

    ReplyDelete
  89. Wow, Moonlight is C-pop? That's my favorite song on the ablum; I need to listen to more C-pop~

    ReplyDelete
  90. welcome to the crisis of music creativity

    ReplyDelete
  91. Gusttavo <3

    I prefer this one :)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbYEfhFRyzA

    ReplyDelete
  92. agree . GNA and Jiyeon's songs were so bland . nothing stands out .

    ReplyDelete
  93. Love Love Love too! It has C-Pop feels

    ReplyDelete
  94. +119, -20] This is why the future of Korea's pop music is hopeless. One person is producing 200 songs, what are they a music factory? Yeah, I'm sure you're proud of your bank accounts.

they didn't lie. Right now I respect Double Sidekick more than Brave Brothers for not rehashing, but K-pop is still boring as hell most of the time.

    ReplyDelete
  95. sometimes when I'm tired of kpop i search for jpop and jrock songs XD

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEkerSi5Fig

    ReplyDelete
  96. T-ara's Number 9 is like the best song of 2013. It's still my jam

    ReplyDelete
  97. Absolutely nothing to complain about CNBLUE lastest album, 5 out of 6 composed by Yonghwa. But I think Yonghwa will just compose for his group, or his labelmates only. After all, that's the way to keep his music original.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Lol exactly, unless its explicitly said "Sweetune composed this song" you might feel like its theirs but you dont really know until you look it up, like with Marionette (I did like it but the mv drove me away so hard from further listening >_> such an awkward video concept...)
    Sweetune+Nine Muses/Infinite = OTP

    ReplyDelete
  99. jpop group flower just released a flawless song with a traditional sound

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eH1qA0LwI7I

    ReplyDelete
  100. SCANDAL are my baes tbh

    ReplyDelete
  101. I probably do not like youMay 24, 2014 at 1:28 AM

only few has guts to try to be innovative and unfortunately, those same people gets overshadowed once a well known individual pick the innovation up. Then, same-minded people will try hard to emulate the success and the ones glorious idea becomes repetitive. then the cycle continues.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Yea like most idols have their own composer

    ReplyDelete
  103. is he the same guy from this song?
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7qB41ixFBQ

    ReplyDelete
  104. Also Nothing Lasts Forever is produced by Nam Gisang hahah
He's a god, I love all of his song (listen to TINT's debut or BeatWin's song, they're great too)

    ReplyDelete
  105. I looooveee this song!

    ReplyDelete
  106. 8. [+119, -20] This is why the future of Korea's pop music is hopeless. One person is producing 200 songs, what are they a music factory? Yeah, I'm sure you're proud of your bank accounts.

    exactly

    ReplyDelete
  107. CNBLUE: Can't Stop, and you have your answer

    ReplyDelete
  108. Gna's song may be bland but it has good replay value. Great pick me up.

    ReplyDelete
  109. lol same, but to be honest these days I'm listening:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVPepkniuXI

    ReplyDelete
  110. lol omg I didn't expect to see Tarkan on NB.

    ReplyDelete
  111. It got remade into an English-lang version called "Kiss Kiss".

    ReplyDelete
  112. me.. love expectation more than something

    ReplyDelete
  113. Didnt they composed for three singers that had comeback at the same time?

    ReplyDelete
  114. Bald Mr.WorldwideMay 24, 2014 at 1:42 AM

It would be refreshing to see kpop group doing Latin style song. I feel like I wanna party and dance to this song lol

    ReplyDelete
  115. Sweetune-9Muses as well! Their discog is just replete with jams.

    ReplyDelete
  116. He's composed for other idols, but just his labelmates. Other than Yonghwa, Lee Jong Hyun is also pretty damn underrated. I love his Japanese stuffs Eclipse, Lie, Blind Love, These Days, Coward, Illusion, Come On, etc..

    ReplyDelete
  117. Not to mention it might be a lot cheaper than using a famous composer.

    ReplyDelete
  118. 1. [+1,683, -33] It's true that you get less tired of their songs compared to Shinsadong Tiger's

Disagree. My biggest wish is for Cube, particularly Beast, to work with Shinsadong Tiger again.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Most of their stuff is actually pretty nice as far as generic kpop goes lol.

    ReplyDelete
  120. This song is so old. At least listen to Jay's recent stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I don't hate him, but honestly, I'm still finding it hard to forgive Daniel for absolutely ruining such a good group. Not only did he ruin his career, but he carelessly ruined the careers of his bandmates. kdksam ugh it just gets me so mad thinking about it lol .

    ReplyDelete
  122. I think my fave composers-producers are, in no particular order: Sweetune, S.Tiger, and Kim Eana/Lee Min Soo/east4a (they work with BEG, Sunny Hill, IU).

    ReplyDelete
  123. Well at least last year they weren't in top 5 best earning producers.
Top 5 royalties earnings in 2013
Park Jin Young: 1.2 billion won (JYP)
Cho Young Soo: 973 million won (worked with T-ARA, Orange Caramel, etc)
Teddy Park: 900 million won (YG)
    Yoo Young-jin: 840 million won(SM)
    G-Dragon: 800 million won(YG)

Or is it because Duble Sidekick is not 1 person so when they divide their income they didn't make it to top 5.

    ReplyDelete
  124. they always play this song in my zumba class lol

    ReplyDelete
  125. livinthesasslifeMay 24, 2014 at 1:52 AM

Been their fan ever since SISTAR worked with them.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Seriously one of the most talented boy groups ever.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Bald Mr.WorldwideMay 24, 2014 at 1:55 AM

Jay's recent stuffs are not that great as his old songs. He used to make a lot of great songs.

    ReplyDelete
  128. i was about to answer that !

    ReplyDelete
  129. yeah, I think it was Luhan who mentioned Moonlight's his favorite (from the album) because it's influenced by C-pop or something like that

    ReplyDelete
  130. The guys who made Marionette also made INFINITE's Hysterie and Breathe, Baby Soul's No Better than Strangers, and Nine Muses' Time's Up. Love them!

    ReplyDelete
  131. Bald Mr.WorldwideMay 24, 2014 at 1:58 AM

His best classic chinese song imo, lyrics and melody are all great.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Lol go an listen to Konchita then if you are , guys, tired of kpop xD

    ReplyDelete
  133. Bald Mr.WorldwideMay 24, 2014 at 2:01 AM

Moonlight is the best song in their latest album, it was my jam for the whole week. Thunder is also good.

    ReplyDelete
  134. listen to the whole album of im sorry, reblue and cant stop

    ReplyDelete
  135. What about b1a4 who always

    ReplyDelete
  136. Especially when the end of month, if me

    ReplyDelete
  137. "Rise Like a Phoenix" should be a theme song for the movie of my life.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToqNa0rqUtY

    ReplyDelete
  138. .... moonlight is so sad
    :'(

    but i love it lol

    ReplyDelete
  139. Kpop is so boring to me lately, they all use the same producer, almost all the songs sound similar.

    ReplyDelete
  140. But @Hungariansone has a point u know haha~

I like listening to songs from different countries tho, eventho i don't know the language. Songs from the same county/region usually have similar melody/sound in their songs.

    ReplyDelete
  141. LOVE LOVE LOVE IS MA JAM GURL

    ReplyDelete
  142. I literally never read the translations of songs, I learnt my lesson after being curious about what one of INFINITE's songs was about like the song was so upbeat and the lyrics were like . . . . sad

    ReplyDelete
  143. The ones on this album have pretty decent if not good lyrics, though! Check them out if you ever feel the need to.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Is it G-High?? I love this guy, I literally gets excited every time I see his name in the credit.

    ReplyDelete
  145. I've listened to the album and the songs are perFECT but still scared to check out the lyrics

    ReplyDelete
  146. so true..yonghwa too didnt do it for money $_$ HE DO IT FOR FANS, HIMSELF and meat XD

    ReplyDelete
  147. I was, too, I learned my lesson a long time ago. But I had to show my friend an audio of Love Love Love and it was the first one to pop up on YouTube (at that time) and it happened to have lyrics, and my friend said she liked the lyrics so I looked at it and I was like, "Oooh, not bad not bad!" Moonlight has very nice lyrics, Overdose is also good, Run is going to be the typical "let's just have fun" type thing, and Thunder has pretty good use of metaphors!

    ReplyDelete
  148. ;_; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xMKufcfL8M

    ReplyDelete
  149. It's G-High and Lee Joo Hyung. The duo work wonders when they're together compared to when they work separately in my humble opinion xD

    ReplyDelete
  150. How can all Latin music sound the same when countries like Mexico, Puerto Rico, Brasil, etc. listen to dozens of completely different genres? You can't tell me that Samba from Brasil sounds like Reggeton from Dominican Rep.

What I think needs to be done instead is that Kpop and the music scene in Korea in general should explore different genres. There's more to life than ballads, kpop, indie, and rap. Right now though Korean music is kind of going through an era and that's okay but I'm sure eventually things will expand.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Oh haha. I always recognized G-High first and usually too lazy to find out the Korean names in the credit. Lots of my favorite songs are from these two then. Seriously they deserved all the praises<3

    ReplyDelete
  152. Oh I see. Thanks. Well still can't get into Twinkle Twinkle but I'll try look into TINT.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I really enjoyed this song, it has a latin pop sound to it imo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxFQTL5-isM

  154. Nope, those two are sibling Sandy and Junior Lima. The one in the OP's video is named Gusttavo Lima but no relation to those two :)

    ReplyDelete
  155. Same. I always end up watching the videos with the lyrics like Peter Pan had such a cheery tone but then I ended crying while reading the lyrics, like why u gotta play me like this SM?!?!?!?!

  156. moonlight is .. damn .. so sad, reminds me of kris

and have you seen moonlight's choreo for their concert??

    ReplyDelete
  157. No, I haven't seen any of the choreo in the concert.
I need Sehun to use his wind power and just sent a nice little breeze to float me all the way to their next concert today/tomorrow. I also need him to float baekhundred on over and have her prove me with subtitles.

  158. Love Love Love has awesome instruments. My second favorite after Thunder.

    ReplyDelete
  159. actually the term would be mandopop. but tbh idek why it sounds like mandopop but it does. I guess years of growing up with chinese friends made me recognize mandopop.

moonlight has that slow beat that many popular madopop music has i guess... plus, exo-m's version sounds more natural even though i only listen to exo-k's version to due my familiarity with the korean language and pronunciations.

    ReplyDelete
  160. peter pan piano ver. makes my heart clenched tbh
the lyrics only make it worse

a lot of exo songs have nice lyrics :D

    ReplyDelete
  161. Some songs you just gotta not bother worrying about the lyrics. I read the lyrics and I was like, "Meh, well... oh, well"

    ReplyDelete
  162. Angel as such nice lyrics, especially!

    ReplyDelete
  163. It sucks bc they sing the with so many emotions and I-

  164. nah, based on chart performance alone, alot more people liked Something. Its one of their best title tracks in MY honest opinion. The song was really easy to feel despite being mid tempo. Not to mention the addictive and easy bouncing dance.

    ReplyDelete
  165. I know, haha. My rule of thumb: never look up lyrics unless you're sure. I usually wouldn't have liked that song in general, because it's too... 1D for me, but because Sehun had an unusually large amount of lines I was like, gotta download it now, he ain't gon' get this chance often.
I haven't looked up the lyrics for their song Lucky yet, but I just knew when I heard Sehun saying, "like icecream" in his section that there was no point, haha.

    ReplyDelete
  166. welcome to the genre of pop. last i checked, genres are called genres because they are based off of similar sounds.

    ReplyDelete
  167. mama too <3
mama's lyrics slap me on the head tbh lol

    ReplyDelete
  168. lol, why don't you watch it??
    moonlight has chair dance fyi

well who wouldn't want to get there (especially with sehun)

    ReplyDelete
  169. It actually moved it's way on up to be my 3rd favourite song by them. With EXO, it's really weird, because usually I would favourite songs like Machine and Heart Attack (which I love immensely by the way) but somehow their voices do something to me and made Angel (K version), My Turn to Cry (M version), and Love Love Love (K version) my top favourite songs. I usually don't like slow songs, or RnB songs but man, EXO, good job.

  170. I don't really follow MBLAQ. But i love It's War and Mona Lisa other than that i don"t know. But how did J.Tune ruin them during It's War or just screw them in general

    ReplyDelete
  171. I'm not sure where to find it, haha! Maybe Tumblr will give me links, but I must have missed the stage where all the people I follow were providing links to fancams, haha. I tend to miss important moments like those -.-

UGH, SEHUN, LIKE MAN. That one fangirl, though, when they sat her on that chair and were dancing to Dream Girl I think, like, I would've died right there. I mean, not only was my lovely turtle Sehun there, but like 5 other members. But she was so calm. LIKE GIRL, HOW ARE YOU CONTROLLING YOURSELF!?

  172. MAMA is such an underrated song, and I bet you it's because of that screamo part. I actually really love that song, but as soon as it gets to the screamo I'm like, "*sigh* next track"

    ReplyDelete
  173. i'm like that too, haha, and fyi i completely forgot about exo's concert yesterday (what a bad fan) , i got on tumblr when it was already ended orz (my dash was full of hip thrust, stripping and fake kissing fml)

I KNOW I KNOW, THE LIFE OF FAB PRINCE HUN BIASED

    DO YOU MEAN THIS OTL

  174. Is that why most of the kpop releases this year are either downright horrible or terribly bland?

    ReplyDelete
  175. Haha, how could you forget!? Just kidding, I actually thought their first one was going to be today, but then I realized on the 22nd that it was actually the next day.
Oh, ya, the amount of him thrust and stripping was more than I expected there to be, haha. I saw Sehun's solo stage and I'm so happy that he's gotten more confident! The only beef I have is that they gave him rather... simple choreo. Like, they should've given him something more along the difficulty of the SMTown concert... I also so the opening Heart Attack VCR and I'm also happy that Sehun has gotten more popular! There were quite a lot more screaming when he popped up than I thought there would be. It's because he's a ball of adorable and wonderful and sassy all rolled into one, I bet.

GOD, SEHUN. That man is ma man. Do you have a Tumblr? What is it! We can spaz about Sehun together on it, haha.

And YES, THAT. I mean, she controlled herself really well. If I was her, I might've closed my eyes a lot to calm myself down and then when the time came to get off the stage I think I'd be a little wonky and trip on air and just faceplant.

  176. Wow, I totally feel like I read your whole comment completely wrong.

I thought it charted higher because Girl's day is getting popular already so people are buying their songs. They got rid from nugu level thanks to expectation, the choreo is more epic than something imo.

  180. honestly they really caught me off guard with those moves, i didn't expect it at all that their concert will be so rated lol, and you're not alone, i don't really like hip thrust, it's .. uh, weird, too much, too much for me XD , i prefer the normal one~ but i do reblog it tho, you know, for future reference ;)

i really rrreeeaally like heart attack vcr !!! no, i LOVE it !! wow, totally my style >_< they look so cool and more importantly, having fun!! :D

haha, no one can resist sehun's charm~ the bias list ruiner XD , that one exo member who makes people feel frustated lol
i agree~ i don't really like the choreo, i think the choreo for debut teasers fit him the best, the one who made them should make something for the concert too

ahhhh, i do have tumblr, but i never talked on tumblr, i just use it for reblog and looking for info about exo since this pc i'm using right now can't open my twitter, idk, i'm so lazy posting on tumblr >_<

    Jrock is just awesome

  187. It's just like SM after Sorry Sorry...

  188. I would love a Swing. It's one of my favourite 2014 songs. But if they released a ballad song again or made SJ-T/SJ-H/SJ-K.R.Y active again, I'd have no complaints.

    ReplyDelete
  189. Jinyoung is a genius and FT ISLAND are a talented bunch (I don't listen to CNBlue much tbh). Hongki has a voice sent from heaven. All their songs in their album "Thanks To" are amazing and deserve to be a title song. Memory is probably my least favourite, but I even love that song.

    ReplyDelete
  190. Then it would be someone else...they all follow the trend. That's why no one stand out lately unless you're IU or Akmu or even some other legendary artists.
